Recommended type of clothing

The tour spans warm desert climates, religious sites, and a variety of urban and rural settings, so packing with versatility and modesty in mind is key. Lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal for the hot days in Egypt, Jordan, and parts of Israel. Include a few long-sleeved tops and long pants or skirts for modesty, especially when visiting sacred sites. A light jacket or sweater is useful for cooler evenings, particularly in higher elevations like Jerusalem. Swimwear will come in handy for a float in the Dead Sea or a dip in hotel pools. A sun hat or wide-brimmed cap is highly recommended, along with a scarf or shawl to cover shoulders or head when needed. Comfortable walking shoes are a must for archaeological sites, paired with sandals or flip-flops for leisure time and water activities.
