TURKEY: The Seven Churches of Revelations

Day 1 Ð Transatlantic flight toward Istanbul
Day 2 - Istanbul Ð Arrival at the Istanbul airport where will be expecting our guide. We will begin to a tour of middle I gave visiting Sta. Sofia, Hip—dromo, and the Blue Mosque. We will then have supper and lodge in the hotel.
Day 3 Ð ‚anakkale Ð Early morning we will exit ‚anakkale. The city of ‚anakkale is located at both sides of the famous strait, the Dardanelles. After breakfast we continue towards Troy. This city is famous for being the center of the Trojan War, and Iliad, one of the two epic poems by Homer. We will dine and lodge here inn Canakkale.
Day 4 - Canakkale - Pergamos Thyatira- Izmir Ð we will leave towards Pergamos where we find the first of the Seven Churches. In the Acropolis of this famous city, we visit the most inclined theater of the old world, Temple of Olympian Zeus, the library, the temple to Adhere, and the Asclepieion in the center of Pergamos. We will continue toward Thyatira, the second of the Seven Churches. Thyatira (Akhisar) is a small city with the ruins of the Temple of Apollo; an old street with columns and a large church. We continue toward Izmir. We will then supper and lodging in Izmir.
Day 5 - Izmir - Sardis Ð Philadelphia - Pamukkale Ð In the morning, before heading towards Sardis, we visit the third church of the Seven Churches: the church of Polycarpo in Smyrna. Polycarpo was one of the first Christian in the zone of Smyrna. He was the bishop between the years 115 and 156. In 156 the persecution against the Christians in Smyrna began and Polycarpo was under arrest and forced to deny of the Christianity.
Since he did not accept he was killed. We will then continue toward Sardis, the fourth Church. It is here where the first official currency was invented by King Here for the first time in history, was invented the official currency by the famous King Croesus. We visit the temple, the Byzantine church, the acropolis, a synagogue and several old stores. Then we continue with the visit of Philadelphia, the fifth one of the Seven Churches. The most important part of these ruins is the basilica Byzantine. We will dine and lodge in Pamukkale.
Day 6 - Pamukkale Ð Ephesus- Kuadasõ Ð In the morning we leave toward Ephesus where the sixth church is found. We visit the famous theater for 25,000 people, the Agora, the Roman baths, the library, the temple of Hadrianos, the church of the Virgin Maria, where the Third Council in the year was celebrated 431. After the lunch we visit the Basilica of San Juan, where San Juan was buried. Finally we visit the House of the Virgin Maria. According to the Bible and religious writings, Saint John took Maria to Ephesus where she died. We will dine and lodge in brought to Maria to Ephesus where she died. Having supper and lodging in Kuadasõ.
Day 7 - Kusadasi Ð Izmir - In the morning we will depart to the Izmir airport.
