Welcome to Gospel Travel,
where can we take you?

Before you go, here are some handy tips
when traveling to...

ISRAEL

Clothing:
Casual and comfortable, but appropriate for the holy places. Take clothes which can be layered over each other. Walking shoes (sneakers). No sleeveless shirts and shorts allowed in the holy places.

Weather:
Average temperatures in Israel:
January 43-53° July 66-84°
Februray 44-57° August 66-86°
March 47-61° September 65-82°
April 60-77° October 60-78°
May 60-77° November 54-67°
June 63-81° December 47-56°

Electricity:
Voltage in Israel and Europe is 220V, not 110V as in the USA. Most hotels have built in converters in the room, but please bring (from any hardware store) a "European adapter" which will adapt the cable of your electrical appliance into a "European" socket.

Luggage:
Only one suitcase plus one carry on (and a video camera). 5. Money: The US dollar has a great value overseas. Carry cash in small bills (up to $20.00) for souvenirs, snacks, etc. Major credit cards are accepted in stores and hotels. Traveler's checks are a good protection and are accepted in stores, hotels. There are a lot of opportunities to exchange dollars to local currency (Shekel) starting from the airport bank. We recommend that you deal with dollar bills.

Passport:
A. your passport must be valid at least 6 months after your departure date.
B. Make two copies of the page in your passport where your photo and details are. Leave one copy with family or friends; take the other one with you (not together with the passport). Just in case you lose your passport while traveling the copy will help you to get a new one quickly at the US embassy.

Telephone Calls:
Calls are expensive from Israel. Here are tips on how to save.
A. Buy an international calling card in Israel.
B. Make sure the card can be used from any phone, not just a payphone.

Travel Insurance:
Very important. Your tour host will provide you with optional policy offered by "Insure America" one of America's leading travel insurance company. It will cover you against cancellation fees due to medical reasons, medical expenses, lost luggage and more.

US Customs:
Souvenirs and gifts are duty exempt up to $400.00. Please do not bring back with you fresh produce (fruits, etc.) as USA Agriculture Department prohibits it.

Israel Customs:
You are welcome to bring anything for your personal use, including video equipment.

Vaccinations:
No vaccination or shots. Israel is a healthy country.

Visas:
Americans do not need a visa to Israel. If you have a passport of another country please consult with us. We will provide you with information how you can get a visa (If needed)

For Your Flight:
• Do not eat heavy food before your flight
• Carry medicines in your carry on. Not in your suitcase.
• Move your legs as much as you can while in your seat and walk in the aisles when possible.
• Drink plenty of water. The air in the plane is dry.

Last But Not Least:
Remember that you are a part of a group, so please:
A. Be on time. If you are late you may miss a tour!
B. Do not separate from the group. If you do, we will stop the tour and look for you. The whole group may lose a site or two because of that.
C. Ask the guide anything you want to know about the country, sites, even advice. They will do what they can to help you.
D. Your host is your spiritual leader. He or she will guide you spiritually in this Holy Land tour, so that your experience will be of a lifetime. Please do not
bother him/her with "technical" questions; the guide will do his/her utmost to help you.
