Follow the footsteps of Moses and the People of Israel
from EGYPT via JORDAN to ISRAEL the Holy Land

Egypt Tours

Day 1 Ð Depart from USA on a transatlantic flight. Dinner and movies onboard.

Day 2 Ð Arrival to Cairo, Egypt. We are met and assisted at the airport.Transfer to our hotel. Free time until dinner.

Day 3 Ð Cairo. After breakfast we travel to the Guisa Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Theses are some of the structures that the people of Israel built as slaves in Egypt. We then visit the famous Egyptian Museum where the treasures of King Tut Ein Khamon are exhibited. We also visit the Citadel and Mohammed Ali Mosque offering a beautiful view of Cairo and the Nile. Dinner and overnight in our hotel.

Day 4 Ð Cairo - Mt. Sinai. From Cairo we cross the Suez Canal into the Sinai desert. We reach Mt. Sinai in the afternoon. After dinner we bid good night, as very early next morning we shall climb the mountain. (Or watch the climbers from our hotel).

Day 5 Ð Mt. Sinai, the Red Sea, Jordan. We reach the top in time to see one of the most amazing sunrise's in the world! Here, Moses got the Torah and the Ten Commandments. We have time for a group prayer or meditation before we descend for breakfast and visit the old monastery near Mt. Sinai at the spot of the burning bush. Here Moses met his future wife - Zipora. We continue eastbound until we reach Nueiba on the shores of the Red Sea. From here we take a special ferry to cross the Red Sea to Aqaba in Jordan. We continue northbound until we reach Petra. Dinner and overnight in our hotel.

Day 6 Ð Petra, Madaba, Amman. After breakfast we explore the Nabatean city of Petra. This is one of the most striking sites upon earth. After a short and easy horse ride in a beautiful canyon we come upon an old temple carved into the sand stone of the canyon, beyond which lies the city. It was built in the 4th century as a shelter city for caravans that crossed the desert between Egypt and Syria. In the afternoon we head northbound towards Amman.On the way we visit Madaba and view an ancient moziac map of the HolyLand. From there to Amman, the capital of Jordan. After a short panoramic tour we reach our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - Jerash, Mt. Nebo. Israel. After breakfast we visit Jerash - the most preserved Roman city in the Middle East. We then proceed to Mount Nebo. This is the traditional burial place of Moses. From here he saw the promised land but could not have entered. We will. We precede northbound to cross the Jordan River at Sheik Hussein Bridge. We arrive at our hotel on the shores of the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 Ð Capernaum / Tabgha / Mt. of Beatitudes / Magdala / Cana / Nazareth/ Jordan River. After breakfast, we drive to Capernaum to visit the ruins of an ancient synagogue and the Byzantine chapel at the site of Peter's House. We then continue to Tabgha, the site of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fish, the Mount of Beatitudes, and Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene. After lunch we will travel to Megiddo, the multi-layered city.

We continue to Cana where the first miracle of Jesus took place, and then to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation (built over Jesus's home). Our last visit today will be to the Baptism site at the Jordan River, where those who wish, may renew their Baptism in this unique place. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 Ð Meguiddo/ Mt. Carmel / Nazareth / Cana / Caesarea/ Jerusalem. Today we visit Megiddo, the multi-layered city and then continue to Mt. Carmel to enjoy a panoramic view of beautiful Haifa on this mountain where Elija fought the 400 false prophets. Then we go to Caesarea, King Herod's personally-designed port city and the place where Paul was arrested and sent to Rome. We proceed to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 Ð Dead Sea/ Masada/ Jerusalem. We drive to Masada, the palace-fort built by King Herod. Here, in 73 A.D., 960 Jewish zealots committed suicide rather than surrender to the Romans. The plateau is reached via a cable car ride with a spectacular view of the plains surrounding it. We'll also dip in the Dead Sea - rich with minerals, natures gift to your skin. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 11 Ð Jerusalem - The Old City. We start this magnificent day at the Mount of Olives with a panoramic view of both the "old" and "new" Jerusalem, where we visit the Chapel of the Ascension and follow the path down the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane and the nearby Church of All Nations. We then take a short drive through the Kidron Valley to reach Absalom's and Zachariah's Tomb. We will enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the Dung Gate, then continue to Mount Zion (King David's tomb) and the Upper Room, site of the Last Supper. Back to our hotel for dinner and overnight. In the afternoon we dedicate time for a visit, prayer and medication at the Garden Tomb. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 Ð Jerusalem: The new city / Plant a Tree After breakfast we will visit the modern of Jerusalem, the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), the Yad Va Shem Museum (the Holocaust Museum). Before returning to the Old City we will Plant a Tree in the woods of Jerusalem. We will visit the Wailing Wall (the Western Wall) - the last remains of the Temple built by King Solomon- and to leave a personal memory in the Holyland., the Rabbi's Tunnel. Our day ends with dinner and overnight in our hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 13 Ð Departure flight. Arrival home in the U.S.A on the same day.
